 Family owned and operated by the Langrells, descendants of Baker Valley’s original pioneers and settlers; the family can offer an on site conference / meeting room suitable for large or small gatherings, ample parking, handicap facilities, continental breakfast, local information and a homey atmosphere.

The Always Welcome Inn is also home of the famous Welcome Inn fossil beds, where archaeologists from around the world come to try their luck at excavating the area behind our motel to discover the treasures of the past. Birders also come to the Welcome Inn to visit our motel to see the 1000 pairs of rare Bank Swallows that come to raise their young, as well as other amazing species like King Fishers and Burrowing Owls. We are at the gateway to the National Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, the Baker Valley Museum, Anthony Lakes Ski Resort, Quail Ridge Golf Course and historic downtown Baker City.

Baker Valley and Baker City are host to the Sumpter Valley Days on the Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor Day, Baker Valley Highland Games, Baker County Fair, Hell’s Canyon Motorcycle Rally, East/West Shrine Football Game, various area sports events at the Baker City Sports Complex and many other regional events.
